Brandon Brown, known as “Pastor Funk”, is a Memphis-born musician, bandleader, and producer celebrated for his soulful, high-energy performances that blend funk, spirituality, and purpose. A respected leader in L.A.’s funk and soul scene, Brandon has worked with legends like Stevie Wonder, The Jacksons, Smokey Robinson, Isaac Hayes, Boyz II Men, Fergie, and PJ Morton. He has served as musical director for major live shows, including Stevie Wonder at Taste of Soul and The Jacksons. Through his band, The Brandon Brown Collective (The BBC), he’s collaborated with artists like Anderson Paak, Kanye West’s Sunday Service, NPG, and Childish Gambino.

The Gumbo Brothers, founded in 2002 by guitarist and vocalist Johann Stein, are a Los Angeles-based ensemble specializing in hip-hop and New Orleans–inspired funk and jazz. They are a staple of the Los Angeles music scene, regularly performing at public concerts and maintaining weekly residencies at renowned venues in Hollywood and downtown Los Angeles.

Some of these artists include Beyoncé, Jay Z, Stevie Wonder, Raphael Saadiq, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Jamie Foxx, Mary Mary, Ledisi, Cardi B, Aloe Blacc, The Brandon Brown Collective, Jennifer Hudson, Solange Knowles and Macy Gray, to name a few.
